ABOUT ME
I am a professional language teacher from Bangladesh with 35+ years of experience in teaching Bengali to students from all over the world. Bengali is my native language and English is the official language in my country. I grew up in Mymensingh, Bangladesh and was very fortunate to have many friends who came from Australia to carry out missionary work in our town. I was lucky to be able to communicate with them in English but my friends were having troubles to communicate with the local people as they did not know how to speak Bengali. I was very passionate about my native tongue and I felt confident that I could help them in learning the language. So, I offered to teach my friends Bengali. With my help, they picked up the language very quickly and they were able to communicate with the locals confidently. From then all the expatriates of Australian Baptist Mission who came to Mymensingh took their Bengali lessons from me. This is how my journey as a Bengali teacher started in 1983. After completing my studies, I moved to Dhaka in 1988 and worked as a project manager in an NGO. Even though I became very busy with my full time job as a manager, I still continued to teach a few students as I was not ready to quit my passion for teaching Bengali. In 1999 I decided to leave my job and became a full time Bengali Language Teacher.
